Jean Mayer arrived in Taos Ski Valley over fifty years ago with a passion for skiing and a dream to create a sanctuary for like-minded ski lovers. With his family, he began building the hotel in 1960. Its sturdy log construction mirrors European Alpine traditions and is located right at the base of Al's Run and the main chairlift. Today it is the only hotel in Taos Ski Valley still offering the traditional, all-inclusive Ski Week – a full week of immersion into the passion of skiing with every need supplied by a well-trained staff of skiing professionals.
At the Hotel St. Bernard we continually evolve while keeping an eye on the past. The St. Bernard has stood the test of time since 1960, nestled on the ski slopes it is a perennial favorite. We maintain an historic appeal but we constantly seek improvement to offer a distinctive flair to our guests.
The hotel has 28 lodge-style rooms, a beautiful communal dining room with a superbly stocked bar, a spa and work out room, and ski storage lockers. The Hotel St. Bernard Ski Week includes 7 nights in hotel room (double occupancy), 6 morning ski lessons, 6 days lift tickets, and three meals a day in the Hotel dining room.
The world-famous Ski School, ranked Number 1 in the country, is one of the reasons guests keep coming back to Taos Ski Valley. Under the technical direction of your host, Jean Mayer, and its dedicated instructors, it will challenge and stimulate you to become a big mountain skier, at any level!

Begin your Ski Week with dinner for the entire family, children included, on Saturday evening at 6:30 pm. Starting on Sunday evening, the adults will continue with nightly gourmet dinners and the children will begin their special Kid's Club program with dinner each night at 5:30 pm, followed by supervised activities at the Hotel during the adult dinnertime.

Deposits & Payment
We ask for a deposit of $1000 (1-2 people) or $1500 (3 or more people) per room to confirm reservations, due within 10 days of request. Final payment is due upon arrival. We accept ONLY checks (drawn on U.S. accounts), traveler's checks, money orders (drafts in U.S. funds) or cash. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS FOR HOTEL DEPOSITS OR PAYMENTS. WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE READ/UNDERSTAND OUR CANCELLATION POLICY BEFORE YOU CONFIRM RESERVATIONS. GUESTS ARE URGED TO INSURE AGAINST THE LOSS OF THEIR DEPOSIT DUE TO CANCELLATION.

Gratuity
A conservative 10% gratuity will be applied to your bill for staff at the Hotel.
Cancellation Policy
As a ski lodge in a destination resort, cancellations are particularly difficult for us. Thus, we require a written notice postmarked at least 45 days prior to the confirmed arrival date. With such notice, deposit is refunded less 10% handling charge. FOR CANCELLATIONS INSIDE 45 DAYS, DEPOSITS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE, REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANCES. DEPOSITS APPLY ONLY TO CURRENT SKI SEASON, NOT TO BE CARRIED OVER TO ANOTHER SEASON. In case of late arrival or early departure, deposit is applied to unused portion of reservation.
